How Can I Help?

I offer one-to-one clinic sessions for adults and older adolescents wanting help with a variety of issues which include stress, depression, anger, anxiety, phobias, confidence, grief, sleep problems, low self-esteem and relationship concerns. Sometimes people come to me because they are feeling stuck, unsure of how to make the changes they know could make their lives better. Working together, we are able to identify and break unhelpful cycles of behaviour, and develope new skills to give a better quality of life.

I also see couples for relationship issues and can offer web and telephone sessions for people who have mobility difficulties or time constraints.

I will be running group therapy sessions throughout the year which can offer a very valuable support network. Other members of the group often help you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge, and they hold you accountable along the way. Regularly talking and listening to others also helps you put your own problems into perspective. Many people experience mental health difficulties, but few speak openly about them to people they don’t know well.

You may feel like you are the only one struggling — but you’re not, and it can be a relief to hear others discuss what they’re going through, and realize you’re not alone.
